'Abducting A General' and SOE in Crete.

Chris and Peter White have been the organising force behind the recent publication of 'Abducting A General' - Patrick Leigh Fermor's personal account of the kidnap of General Kreipe in Crete in the spring of 1944. 

 

We have located and recorded all the locations used by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) during the operation to kidnap the General and have identified over 80 locations used or visited by SOE as part of the Cretan resistance to the German Occupation.
